The US Department of Energy (DOE) Profiling Tool is software that helps organizations identify how energy is being purchased and consumed by their data centers and what energy efficiency improvements and technologies can be deployed to save energy and money. The Profiling Tool is a first step in identifying reduction opportunities by helping data center owners and operators quickly diagnose their energy use and begin identifying opportunities for savings. It accomplishes this by detailing how energy is used by your data center, describing your data center’s savings potential, and pointing out some specific actions you can take to realize these savings. An executive summary
is available for this tool.
The current DCPro Profiling Tool (Version 2) will soon be replaced by the new DCPro (Version 3), now supported solely by the Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP). Unfortunately, due to significant enhancements in the latest version, user cases and related data will not be automatically transferred or compatible from Version 2 to Version 3. Current users are advised to save their facilities’ input and output data for future use. DCPro Version 2 will not be accessible after December 31, 2013. We apologize for any inconvenience.
If you would like to be able to save cases for future reference, you must first register for a username and password on the DOE EnMS portal. You can register for a username and password using the following link. Once registered, login to the portal using the sign in link in the upper right corner of the screen.
